Farid Bin Hemed a very good friend of mine, Historian and the best guide for Old town.
Besides guiding tourists interested in history and working with NGO for environment issues, he also organizes events like Swahili Food, Old Town Day, etc., to revive and keep alive Zanzibar and Swahili Culture in face of mass tourism with its decadent cultural influences eroding our centuries old lifestyle.
Better late than never.
